We stayed here 10/14/25. Room was great and very clean. This is the type of room likely used by hunters and fisherman, blue collar type place, which we love. If you're the type to want fancy high-end this isn't it... Clean yes, fancy no. Mid week, total was $85.00 after tax. As with most accommodations on the river road there's a highway on one side and a train on the other, surprisingly the noise wasn't bad at all inside the room and we slept well. Again the room was old but very clean. There's only one tavern/bar food in town and a mixed drink was $9.00!!!!! food and service was good there though... but $9,00 for a drink? in a tiny town? La Crosse is about 6 miles away for more options, and there is a Kwik Trip in walking distance for breakfast. Yes, We'd absolutely stay here again. Matt (I believe to be the owner) was very nice and American born if that matters to anyone reading this. It appears he also runs a duck hunting guide service here as well.

Lovely location, hotel staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The room was well appointed, and everything was well maintained and spotless. The pillows were extra firm 👌 and the water pressure in the shower was fabulous. I will definitely stay again!

Cozy, clean, & one of the most comfortable motel beds I have encountered. As an older woman traveling, I felt very safe.

Showed up after being on the road for two days and needed a good night sleep. Rang the bell at the office and Matt, the owner, hooked me up with a room and a current fishing report from the local backwater of the Mississippi River. What more could I ask for? Despite being tired I grabbed my rod and hit the water at the town park a mile away and was immediately into fish. After an hour of fishing I was ready for bed. Perfect location along the river only a short distance south of the bustle of La Crosse. Nothing fancy about the place but the rooms are CLEAN and the price is right. Also, room for boat parking and there’s a fish and game cleaning station provided as well. Can’t go wrong here! Thanks, Matt!

Perfect to spend a night on a motorcycle trip. Clean and cozy. Amazing shower. If you want to walk to food, everything is closed on the town on Mondays. Will visit again.
